harlem ny engagement portraits of jaci + dan

I am just so crazy about Jaci and Dan that it is a little silly! Their wedding is right around the corner in December and after their recent engagement portrait session, I could not be more excited for it! For their portraits, we hung around their home-base of Harlem NY and for the most part, we kept things pretty laid-back and real which I guess is one reason I love them -- they are just so genuine and prefer to be in their element more than trying too hard to get the perfect shot (which to me does get the perfect shot!) It always brightens my day to be around them and I am so happy that they found each other and then found me to photograph them.

 Such a big congratulations to Jaci + Dan and here's to looking so forward to next month!!

I have such a special place in my heart for Lanie + Jake, who are just the epitome of love and kindness. They are such a family-oriented couple and everything about their wedding was so incredibly personal, warm, and inviting. I knew I would adore them before I even met them since they were good friends with another amazing couple, Liz + Lar, who's awesome Brooklyn wedding I had the honor of capturing last year -- and I was right, I adored them instantaneously upon meeting. I am a photographic sucker for A. barn weddings and B. for couples I adore so photographing their wedding definitely pulled me right in. Held at the amazingly beautiful Webb Barn in Connecticut, their wedding was so enjoyable to photograph and my team and I had such an unforgettable time capturing every lovely detail!
