beimaged best of 2012
Even though I am a bit late to be officially ringing in the new year of 2013, I feel like no matter when I do it, I do need to take a step back to reflect on the whirlwind of a year that just ended. I photographed more weddings than I ever thought imagineable, I worked alongside 2 new super talented associate photographers who I adore (Natalie + Rachael) and also worked a ton with Yasuaki, my videographer extraordinaire who ultimately brought me to return quite happily to my video editing roots. I started the year off with a new camera, experimented all year-long with new types of lenses, met and worked with so very many amazing couples, and overall, I really honed in the how and why I do what I do. It is all about love and human connection really. Since I first began photographing I was always drawn to people and little has changed about that. With weddings, I get to focus on people and all that they have created for one of the most memorable days of their lives. It is a very special role I have to play and while it is a ton of work, I am so in love with doing it. Bringing me + my camera to the streets of Manhattan to backyards of Connecticut to campgrounds in Massachusetts and to Brooklyn restaurants, there is nothing quite like what I do and there is certainly no one to compare to the unique couples that I have had the opportunity to work with. I know that 2013 has much more in store for me but I am just so thankful with what I have already experienced + in this entry you will find a collection of some of my favorite moments over the past year. Enjoy and stay tuned for this new year's new pretty photographs!
And I of course enjoyed working on all of the films for my couples but here are three that I feel best define the video work Yasu and I did in 2012! --
