brooklyn ny engagement portraits of luna + toure

Remember that crazy cold day we had back in November? Well, Luna, Toure + I will certainly not be forgetting it any time soon as we all three decided to brave it for theirengagement portrait session that had been long awaited. And in most of the photos you can't tell that they are freezing -- huge kudos to Luna for braving bare legs for the shoot! The session was such fun from their home to the Brooklyn Museum, we got creative and spontaneous every step of the way and it made for the best of best shoots that I will always remember very fondly. Can't wait for their wedding next year and here's to hoping it is a warm day because they deserve it!

A big congratulations to Luna + Toure!

nyc engagement portraits of alex + jessica

I had such a great time with Jessica + Alex a couple of weeks ago when we knew that we had to stick with our engagement shoot plans despite the rain. They made the best of it and that made it fun. We met up at one of their favorite cafes, walked around The Museum of Natural History (as they met in a biology class, this felt very fitting!) and when the rain cleared up just a bit, we walked around Riverside Park. All of it made for such a great shoot and getting to know them better was the best part! They both have pretty demanding work schedules but by looking at them together you wouldn't know they have fast-paced lives because they are just so laid-back and at ease with one another. It is a beautiful thing to see and to capture and it has got be so excited for their wedding next year!

Congratulations to Jessica + Alex!

morningside park engagement portraits of helen + jimmy

I finally got to meet Helen + Jimmy a couple of weeks ago for their engagement portrait session and I could not have felt more at ease and in awe of them within the first seconds of walking through their door. They are such a warm, fun-loving and light-hearted couple and I loved that they wanted to keep the shoot as natural as possible. We ended up just all laughing the morning away and it was just such fun spending time with them (and their pup Havana). I could not be more excited to photograph their Mississippi wedding next year!

 Congratulations to Helen + Jimmy!!
