brooklyn bridge engagement portraits
Despite being cold outside, it was such a gloriously sunny December day that I got to spend on the Brooklyn Bridge with the lovely pair, Nicole and David. They are happily engaged, incredibly sweet, and officially photogenic. You would never know by looking at them, but these two live in very different zip codes for the time being. She lives in Florida, and he is going to law school here in New York, but there is not one ounce of stress on their faces. They are the epitome of love, and the Manhattan backdrop showcases that all the more.
Happy Holidays to everyone!

editing friday
I have been editing the day away and I just have to share the little dancing or jumping (can't decide which) sequence that I created from JT + Amy's wedding. She decided not to smile in any other pictures, so I find these ones pretty special. Click on the image to see it bigger!

central park engagement portraits
Okay, so I was just a tad bit in love with working with Jess + Jason, a NYC couple full of so much love, joyfullness and charm, that it just permeates through all of my images of them. Keeping their engagement portrait session light and natural, these two lovebirds were simply and beautifully themselves (even with the element of more than one camera on them the whole time: see the Best Buy story). The portrait session took place on a glorious Fall day, right before winter weather struck, and took place all around The Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.

in front of the camera
What it looks like to be photographed while photographing. |
I am just so excited to share the Central Park engagement shoot from a couple of weeks ago, but before I do, I just wanted to mention the story behind it, because what an experience it was. I submitted my "true story" of using Best Buy for my business and was selected to be represented in their coming soon ad campaign for real people, real businesses. Truly, I love Best Buy, so it was such a cool thing for me to be a part of it.
While the ads or any proof of me (for the first time ever) being in front of the camera will not hit shelves until 2011, I did manage to sneak in a couple of shots where I photographed the photographers and ones following my every move.
The best part of the 2-day experience was that they wanted to capture me actually working, so in came the engagement shoot between the lovely Jess + Jason: truly in love engaged couple extraordinaire who not only had my camera on them but also had about 5 others on them as well. It was a blast, and I can't wait to share the beautiful couple's shoot!

ny family portraits
It was a beautiful Fall day in Upstate NY when I had the pleasure of taking portraits of the Landin family. The son had homework, the daughter had giggles, and the dog just wanted to cuddle, but the photographs tell the story of what this family is all about. Just love, love, love. This is the sneak peek that I just had to share! The colors of fall and lovely families make me ever so happy.
Coming This Weekend: JT + Amy's Upstate NY Wedding Sneak Peek!
