Helen and Jimmy planned their destination Mississippi wedding from New York and I was so thrilled that they chose me to capture their day. A wedding this distance away from home was a new experience for me and it truly allowed my photography to feel somewhat revitalized. I usually avoid speckled light for portraits but with Helen and Jimmy, I pushed myself to try different things. Because of how out of the norm it all felt, the experience felt a bit like an art project in a really good way (of course with the same typical celebration objectives to be documented too). It certainly helped that I adore the couple so much and everything they planned, executed and did was beautiful to me. The way they look at each other, laugh together, and walk together -- it is what love is all about and I was drawn to every moment of it happening. They even brought their dogs (their babies) all the way in from NYC so that they could be a part of the festivites too. It was a romantic, natural wedding with a vintage feel and every detail + every person there was lovely. I am so excited to share some of my photos!
Such a huge congratulations to Helen + Jimmy!!
