westchester ny family + newborn portraits

When I heard Jamie + Matt (of last year's amazing NYC bakery wedding I had the pleasure of photographing) had just had a baby and wanted me to come over and take pictures of her, I was over the moon excited. At only one month old, Sadie already had eyes open most of the shoot and didn't complain at all (only yawned and snoozed here and there)! It was such a pleasure to work with Jamie + Matt again and especially to meet their baby girl before she embarks on the crazy journey of growth!

nyc family portraits of lanie, jake + matilda

It's not every day that a beloved couple you photographed the wedding of way back when gets in touch and invites you down to the city to photograph the most amazing 3 month baby ever -- theirs, naturally. So when this couple that I adored so very much (Lanie + Jake) did extend this invite, I was beyond excited. Their little daughter Matilda was cool, calm and collected the entire shoot which is completely a reflection of the beautiful spirits of her parents. She even laughed at me quite a bit and very much enjoyed talk of us planning some corporate meetings one day. I found myself talking about business to make her giggle -- how sweet is that? They all three made my day and it was a magical joy to re-capture them in this new time of their lives together. I will surely cherish these photographs as much as they hopefully will as being a part of their world is quite the honor.

westchester ny family portrait photographer

Before the snow completely dissipates (which I cannot wait for but that is another story), I wanted to share the adorable snowy NJ family portrait session I had with Matt + Shannon and their ridiculously cute little girl Emilia! I absolutely love working with couples whose wedding I photographed and getting to see their lives/families grow and expand. It is a humbling experience being able to capture it and be a part of that. Life moves so fast yet so much happens all the while. It especially melted my heart when little Emilia just sat right down in the snow and assumed what appeared to be the most comfortable seat ever. She just had no complaints. I loved getting to reconnect with this family and getting to meet such a special little child!

Here's to hoping I get to see of three of them soon (but no pressure to expand again!)
