governor's island ny wedding of bethany + jon

Bethany + Jon had such an incredibly unique and personal wedding going from the ceremony Manhattan's 5th Avenue First Presbyterian Church to (via subway then ferry!) a picnic-style, with vintage inspiration, reception on the beautiful Governor's Island. Bethany's incomparably sweet and gorgeous gown and veil was a family heirloom, having been worn by the groom's mother on her own wedding day, and it was the incredibly sentimental details like this that just struck me so very much as the photographer of their wedding day. I just honestly loved it all and I adore the two of them -- I could instantly tell when I first met them months ago that they are the kindest and most genuine of souls who go perfectly together with harmony and ease. Their wedding was elegant, classic, modern + laidback all rolled into one. It could not have been a more lovely experience and I am so grateful I got to be part of it all!

Such a big congratulations to Bethany + Jon!
