going green

It is something I have always wanted to do -- to become a truly "green" wedding and event photographer. I care about everyone and everything around me, so it only makes sense to make every effort I can to keep my photography business as eco-friendly as possible. I am now a proud approved vendor on The Green Bride Guide and besides taking every step I can to make my business more green, I am looking towards obtaining certification as well.

Inspired by the earth today, I took some pictures outside of my home office. And I used my recycled old-school manual Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens to do it.

To find out more about my "green"-ness, you can take a look at My Story section of my website.

arizona part one

My fiance Dave and I recently took a trip out to Arizona to visit family and have our own engagement portraits taken, and what we left with was an experience like no other. I have so many photographs to share that I do not even know where to start, but here is a sneak peek.

The above two photographs were taken at the entrance of my aunt and uncle's 43 acres of amazing land. Many more photographs to come of the beautiful home that they have built out in White Mountain Lakes, Arizona and all of the beauty of the sunny state.

westchester ny father and son portraits

Having the opportunity to capture Doug and his son Brandon through photograph was such a gift. They are quite the pair this father and son: full of tickle-fests, games like "chicken neck", smiles and a great deal of affection for one another. Taking photographs filled with emotion, love, and playfulness was easy, because it was all there in their interactions.

best buy feature sneak peek

I was recently chosen to be a part of the 2011 Best Buy for Business catalog, as I had submitted my story of blissfully using Best Buy for my photography business. The catalog has not hit stores yet, but I have a sneak peek to share. I know I look dorky, but what can I say? I like being on the other side of the camera.

Feel free to read more about my experience in front of the camera, or check out the Central Park engagement shoot that the Best Buy came along for.
