hoboken nj engagement portraits of megan + jake

Getting down to Hoboken on the day of my portrait session with Megan + Jake was quite the crazy and intense experience but once there, getting to spend the evening with them made up for all of it. I had only met them once before but I instantly felt like we were old friends. They are so genuine, funny, kind and the way they make each other laugh is such a joy to be around. I especially loved that we took a stroll down to a restaurant (Bin 14) that had really amazing memories attached to it and that was really the whole session -- sentimental locations that felt true to their personalities and relationship. Getting to know them better before their wedding next year was an added bonus and I could not be more excited to see their vision come to life while having the honor of being the one to capture it. So excited!

brooklyn ny engagement portraits of luna + toure

Remember that crazy cold day we had back in November? Well, Luna, Toure + I will certainly not be forgetting it any time soon as we all three decided to brave it for theirengagement portrait session that had been long awaited. And in most of the photos you can't tell that they are freezing -- huge kudos to Luna for braving bare legs for the shoot! The session was such fun from their home to the Brooklyn Museum, we got creative and spontaneous every step of the way and it made for the best of best shoots that I will always remember very fondly. Can't wait for their wedding next year and here's to hoping it is a warm day because they deserve it!

Carrie + James simply love to laugh and to have fun and they are exactly my kind of people! We had to deal with some intense heat during our late June portrait session but had such a great time regardless. From the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade to being silly by the Kustard King of the area, getting to work with them and get to know them better got me that much more excited to photograph their October wedding!
