morningside park engagement portraits of helen + jimmy

I finally got to meet Helen + Jimmy a couple of weeks ago for their engagement portrait session and I could not have felt more at ease and in awe of them within the first seconds of walking through their door. They are such a warm, fun-loving and light-hearted couple and I loved that they wanted to keep the shoot as natural as possible. We ended up just all laughing the morning away and it was just such fun spending time with them (and their pup Havana). I could not be more excited to photograph their Mississippi wedding next year!

harlem ny engagement portraits of jaci + dan

I am just so crazy about Jaci and Dan that it is a little silly! Their wedding is right around the corner in December and after their recent engagement portrait session, I could not be more excited for it! For their portraits, we hung around their home-base of Harlem NY and for the most part, we kept things pretty laid-back and real which I guess is one reason I love them -- they are just so genuine and prefer to be in their element more than trying too hard to get the perfect shot (which to me does get the perfect shot!) It always brightens my day to be around them and I am so happy that they found each other and then found me to photograph them.
