rePOP

Back in October, I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot for a magazine (while they were being interviewed) with owners of the very cool antique + vintage Brooklyn NY store RePOP. Russell + Carl are just too awesome and there shop shows it. They not only acquire the most amazing finds and have curated the aesthetic of the store in a beautiful way, but they are also artists with their own paintings on the walls + public projects under their belts. I was simply blown away by the space, their personalities, and the overall experience of learning about their store + vision. And as a vintage lover myself, I can't help but plug one of my new favorite vintage shops!

Last Sunday I was so thankful to have my photograph and the story of the awesome couple {Sam + Jill} I worked with back in October featured in the "Down the Aisle" section of the Daily News! They are so cute!

water club nyc wedding of jenny + matt

I am not sure if they come any sweeter than Jenny + Matt! I feel absolutely blessed to have met them and their families and especially to have been able to capture one of the most special days in their lives. Their intimate and incredibly lovely wedding was at The Water Club in New York City and every single detail reflected so beautifully the loving, compassionate, and vibrant personalities of them both. I had not met them before the wedding, but I felt like I already knew them as soon as I saw their photographs sitting outside of the ceremony room -- because their smiles say it all. They are just so in love with each other and just want to share love and joy with everyone around them. Naturally, their ceremony was incredibly tender and heartfelt (they passed the wedding rings around the room on a dainty little white pillow for everyone to bless!), and I was just so glad that I was able to photograph it before my back-up photographer Michael came to take over for me (as I was unfortunately very ill that day). And it really was quite a unique experience for me because everywhere I looked people were looking at me to make sure that I was okay. Everyone was just so incredibly caring and real, and the genuine smiles in all of their photographs show that.
